Event Overview

MDPI Canada representatives were pleased to participate in the Population Association of America of America 2026 Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, last May, joining researchers, editors, and professionals from across the demographic, social, and health sciences communities.

As the premier annual gathering for demographers and social and health scientists, the meeting brought together researchers of varying career stages to share findings, exchange ideas, and engage in discussions on topics spanning population studies, public health, migration, reproductive health, and broader social issues.

Meeting Highlights

The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity to connect with members of our editorial communities, such as Prof. Dr. Cindy Fan, Advisory Board Member of Populations MDPI, who represented the journal during the conference's "Meet the Editors" session; Prof. Dr. Richard Bilsborrow, Advisory Board Member of Populations MDPI and Social Sciences MDPI; and Dr. Obasanjo Bolarinwa, Guest Editor for IJERPH MDPI.

We greatly appreciate their ongoing contributions and the expertise they bring to our journals. Events like PAA provide valuable opportunities to connect with members of our editorial community, which we always welcome!

To all of those who stopped by our booth to connect, thank you. MDPI looks forward to continuing these conversations and supporting the research communities driving progress across these fields and beyond.
